“Seaquell” - 8 Wisteria Lane, Seacrest Beach, Florida
3br, 3.5ba, sleeps 12, gulf view, pool

If you want a fabulous beach house, a quiet relaxing hideaway, all the amenities of home and more…look no further. Seaquell Cottage has it all.
There’s no better way to enjoy the pristine sugar-white beaches and emerald-green waters of Florida’s forgotten coast than at Seaquell Cottage, located in a new award-winning development called Magnolia by the Sea. Inside, you’ll the kind of beach house rental that always captured our own imagination: a clean, funky getaway in a great area. We were excited about Magnolia because of its location along 30-A, which is so close to the water. The home we built is the only style home in Magnolia with the living area upstairs. This floor plan maximizes the comfort for as many as 12 guests so that everyone can sit down to the table—for a crab legs and pasta dinner or a four-team game of Cranium. It has two cantilevered porches and a private deck off the master suite. Most nights are so clear, you can’t count all the stars. Grab a blanket and a bottle of wine and curl up on a deck-lounge and try.
We designed the inside of the home, choosing high quality furnishings and colors pulled right from the natural landscape: sandy gold, quiet blue, and fen green accented with folk art from local and regional artists.

We offer a full-sized washer and dryer, and we provide your linens and towels. But bring your own beach towels. We have books, board games, TVs, VCRs, DVDs, Playstation, a stereo and CD player that’ll host your iPod.
Magnolia is located on the east end of County Highway 30-A, near Rosemary Beach, and the just-underway Alys Beach. If you know 30-A, you know there is no other place like it. If this is your first time in the area, prepare to experience one of the most beautiful places in the country. Thirty-A is an 18 mile stretch of road that meanders through larger beach towns and small beach communities. The road will take you over rare fresh-water coastal dune lakes and through state parks that offer beach combing and wooded hiking, and it never veers far from the pristine blue-green waters of the Gulf.
Our development rests along 30-A behind large protective dunes, and our cottage is nestled among the natural oaks, sand pines, magnolias, and palmettos. The private beach walkover is only a short stroll from Seaquell down the cobblestone road. The serene and beautiful community pool is just a few doors down.
In our quiet little community, children can explore the woods, hopscotch on the road, and learn to ride a two-wheeler without the bustle of heavy traffic. From Seaquell’s door, you can watch the older kids run to the pool. Pack a cooler and take a picnic on the beach. Or grab a flashlight and explore the night beach where you’ll see the sand crabs scurry and maybe a sea turtle or two.
Seaquell is the perfect distance off the beaten path, blissfully quiet and yet close to everything a vacationer could want. Imagine waking up each morning to a long walk or bike ride along 30-A’s bike path to any of the several coffee shops that dot the way. You can explore the miles and miles of coastal trails. Or play golf at one of the many excellent courses, including the Tom Fazio-designed Camp Creek Golf Course. Then cool off with a swim in the community pool or hit the beach with the kids. During the off-season, you’ll have the whole place practically to yourself!
Have lunch at the funky Red Bar or enjoy some peel-and-eat-shrimp on the rooftop of Bud-n-Alley’s, overlooking to Gulf. While you’re out, you can browse the art galleries and shop for funky local folk art. Spend the afternoons cooling off at Seaquell Cottage, lounging out with a great book on one of three decks at Seaquell. Bust out that credit card at the Silver Sands Outlet Mall (just minutes away), or take in the kitschy minigolf and waterpark pleasures of Destin (just far enough not to be a bother, just close enough to enjoy). Then savor an amazing evening meal: 30-A (and the nearby Baytowne Wharf) has some of finest restaurants in Florida: Criolla’s, Fish Out of Water, Great Southern, Café 30-A, Fire, Stinky’s and many more: a week won’t be enough to hit ’em all! Or just stay home, fire up the grill, and slowly raise your glass toward yet another breathtaking sunset.

Note From The Owners:
We’ve rented beach vacation homes for years thinking that maybe someday we’d have our own. After renting one particular home, we put someday on the fast-track. It was small but idyllic place, cozy and colorful and happy. We had a magical week. We want to provide you the kind of beach house that captured our imagination. We hope you will want to return to Seaquell – not just the area – year after year. When you think of your stay, we want Seaquell to be as much a part of your idyllic family vacation as the forgotten coat itself. We invite your questions and comments. Just drop us a note at Seaquell@gmail.com
